The journal / Editorial
Small changes. Clearer stories.
A second line gives readers the context they need before they begin.
Good editing begins before the first paragraph. A useful second line tells a reader what a story is about and why they might want to continue.
A single source for the subhead
This article keeps its subhead in a dedicated WordPress field. The magazine card and this page both read that field, so a change stays consistent across the two views.
The article body remains separate. Editors can change the subhead without copying it into the opening paragraph or rewriting the listing.
